After importing “Float glass process” of Pilkington UK, SYP first float glass line with 180,000 tons’ annual capacity was built. It became a company which can produce all kinds of high quality clear float glass.
1993
It became one of the first public listed glass manufactures in China after restructuring and listing.
1995
The second tinted float glass line was built with 90.000 tons’ annual capacity, which ended the condition in China that tinted float glass was fully depended on import.
1997
Shanghai Yaohua Pilkington Glass Co., Ltd Kangqiao glass processing base went into operation.
2000
Shanghai Glass and Glass Processing R&D center was established in SYP.
SYP bought “Shanghai FuHua Glass Co., Ltd”, which Ford of American invested in China and renamed it to “SYP Kangqiao Autoglass Co., Ltd.”
SYP bought “Guangdong float glass Co., ltd”, which PPG of American invested in China and renamed it to “Guangdong SYP Glass Co., Ltd.”
2003
SYP bought “Tianjin NSG float glass Co., Ltd”, which NSG of Japanese invested in China and renamed it to “Tianjin SYP Glass Co., ltd”
2004
“Shanghai SYP Engineering Glass Co., ltd” went into production.
2006
“Jiangsu Pilkington SYP Glass Co., Ltd.” went into production.
“Changshu SYP Special Glass Co., Ltd. “went into production.
SYP brand float glass, Low E coated glass, tempered glass, Insulated glass were regarded as ”State Inspection exemption product” by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC.

Tianjin SYP Engineering Glass Co., Ltd. went into production.

Jiangmen SYP Engineering Glass Co., Ltd. went into production.

The second phase construction of Changshu SYP Special Glass Co., Ltd. went into production.

SYP bought “Guilin Pilkington Safety Glass Co., ltd” and “Tianjin NSG Safety Glass Co., ltd”, which are invested by Pilkington UK in China.
